Skeleton Park Brewery’s vision is to craft traditional old-world beer styles that pay tribute to the early Canadians who built our nation’s foothold in Canada’s first capital city.
The playful dog on their logo brings together the past and the future of Kingston’s Skeleton Park. Centuries old, Skeleton Park began its life as a burial ground for thousands of immigrant labourers. Today, the park is a vibrant downtown hub, enjoyed by locals who gather to play, skate, picnic, and sing.
By digging through archives that date back as far back as the mid 1700’s, Skeleton Park Brewery’s Heritage Series represents the most beloved brews produced by small local breweries operating in Kingston before prohibition.
The Amber 6.6 is a well-balanced European-style amber ale and is the flagship to the Heritage Series. Reminiscent of the time as an early nation, Kingston have held true to the big bodied, high ABV ales that were very popular among the hard working men and women who helped Canada become what it is today.
The Best Bitter is a 150-year-old Extra Special Bitter recipe uses ingredients brought over from England by the United Empire Loyalists and still grown locally in Kingston today. The simple complexity of this brilliant, golden ale recaptures a time of shared purpose and honest reward.
In fall of 2019, Skeleton Park Brewery opened its location at 3-675 Arlington Park Place. You can enjoy their craft beer at their new location and many local restaurants and pubs.
