UP TO $5,000 AVAILABLE FOR NEW SMALL BUSINESSES
Starter Company Plus is now accepting applications

Kingston, Ontario – April 12, 2021 – Kingston Economic Development Corporation announces that Starter Company Plus applications are now open.

Starter Company Plus is offered through Kingston Economic Development Corporation with funding from the Government of Ontario. The program is designed to provide training for both new and existing business owners who are either launching a new venture or have been in business for less than five years. This is a competitive program that provides an opportunity to pitch for up to $5,000 to support business operations.

“This program gives both existing and potential entrepreneurs an opportunity to learn how to either grow their businesses or to learn how to launch new businesses. The bootcamp component is conducted by an expert, who has been leading entrepreneurship and business planning training programs for many years, a great opportunity to learn directly from an experience facilitator. The program is very competitive, but we have seen many businesses stem from it over the years,” says Norman Musengimana, Busines Development Manager, Small Business & Entrepreneurship.

Participants will be required to participate in a weeklong virtual business bootcamp, where they will receive valuable insights into business start-up and expansion as well as business plan templates such as cash flow projections and business plans.

The business training will be facilitated by Andrew Patricio, owner and founder of BizLaunch, who has trained over 100,000 entrepreneurs worldwide. They also work with small business owners who are thinking about starting a business, preparing to launch or currently running one.

"Building a company is already a daunting feat for many individuals, but when coupled with a global pandemic, it's exponentially more difficult. The Starter Company Plus program did an incredible job helping Bounce focus on adapting to these unprecedented times and how to continue building a sustainable business- all in a time efficient manner," says Sean Monteiro, founder of Bounce and a successful 2020 Stater Company Plus Kingston participant.

Spots are limited and applications are open till April 23. To learn more about Starter Company Plus and how to apply visit KingstonEcDev.com/StarterCompanyPlus
