- Practical examples to illustrate program criteria and navigation.
- Your questions! Attendees should come prepared to ask questions about current programs.
"If you’ve never applied for a government program, or haven’t done so in a long time, it can be overwhelming, especially now, when so many programs are becoming available,” says Desiree Kennedy, the City’s Chief Financial Officer and City Treasurer.
“By bringing experts from Kingston Economic Development Corporation and KPMG together, we're hoping to support our business community as they move into the recovery phase,” she adds.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many of Kingston’s businesses to take immediate action to protect their staff and their customer base. As they adjust to a new social and economic environment, the City, Kingston EcDev and KPMG are joining forces to support the recovery process.
“With this new partnership, we hope Kingston businesses will benefit from programs offered by different levels of government to help keep their doors open as we head towards economic recovery,” says Donna Gillespie, CEO of Kingston Economic Development Corporation.
Says Huber, “We know many local businesses are trying to make sense of the various programs. We are happy to help the great businesses of Kingston navigate the federal and provincial government programs to understand how they can benefit from them and be resilient in this new world.”
